EASTER BASKET PROJECT for area communities.
Pre-filled baskets will be donated through local crisis
agencies, schools, local hospitals, churches, Human Services etc. In past
years, over 300 baskets were delivered locally. Each basket is made by church
youth groups, businesses, scout troops, classroom project, neighborhood
gatherings, non-profit organizations, retired teachers, and private citizens.
Several businesses hold competitions between departments for a monetary or
quantity donation.
If a business, organization or individual person would like
to contribute to the EASTER BASKET PROJECT pre-made baskets, items or monetary donations
should be brought to the Community REC Center located at 2501 Pierce Ave,
Marinette, WI. Prior to April 12th to ensure distribution through
local agencies.
You’re encouraged to identify the donated basket for a girl
or a boy with approximate age if possible. Children’s ages range from infant to
pre-teen.
For those who wish to participate, but not assemble a
basket, volunteers are available to shop and put together a basket for you. We’re
asking for a donation of $50.00 which will enable us to purchase 5 baskets and
its contents.
All Donations can be dropped off at the Community REC
Center located at 2501 Pierce Ave, during regular business hours Monday – Sunday.
