Notice to Eligible Electors Residing in Marinette Municipal Ward 6

Due to the recent resignation of former City of Marinette Ward 6 Alderperson, Peter Noppenberg, the City of Marinette Common Council is seeking letters of interest from eligible voters residing within City of Marinette Municipal Ward 6 who are interested in representing that district on the City of Marinette Common Council. Interested individuals should submit their letter of interest to: City of Marinette, C/o Mayor’s Office, 1905 Hall Ave., Marinette, WI 54143 no later than Thursday May 28th, 2020. The City of Marinette Common Council intends to appoint and swear in a new Alderperson to the vacant Ward 6 seat at the upcoming Tuesday June 2, 2020 Common Council meeting. Any resident interested should reference City of Marinette’s website to review a City of Marinette ward boundary map to determine if they reside within that ward. That link is: https://www.marinette.wi.us/470/City-of-Marinette-Ward-Map.  Another link to review is the State of Wisconsin Elections Commission “My Vote” site where you can type in your street address and confirm what ward you live in at the following link: https://myvote.wi.gov.
